Posted 18 October 2011

Hueber and HELTA cordially invites you to attend:

Critical Thinking in Action

If, as some claim, we are living in an age of information then it's very important that students think critically about the information they are exposed to. Developing learners' critical thinking skills has become a hot topic. What exactly does this mean? This talk looks at practical way that teachers can help learners think critically. We will look at topic and task design as well as a series of activities that you can begin using with your students right away.

Award-winning author Lindsay Clandfield will take examples from Macmillan's new course Global. Lindsay is a teacher trainer for Trinity Diploma courses, a major contributor to ELT magazines, The Guardian Weekly and OneStopEnglish. He is the author of the blog Six Things and now has a new blog, theround. You can follow him on Twitter: @lclandfield

When: Friday, 11 November 2011 at 13:00 - 16:00
